Workshops

My workshops draw on more than 25 years of capoeira and an interdisciplinary movement practice. They run between 90 and 180 minutes and can be booked for groups, studios, clubs and festivals.

The four pillars of my work

Capoeira: Technique, flowing play and complex movement patterns for beginners, advanced students and teachers.
Cultural anthropology: The historical and social meaning of capoeira: resistance, identity, community. Especially useful for teachers who want to bring cultural context into their classes.
Movement studies: Grounded movement analysis: understanding and training mobility, balance and strength.
Music: Berimbau techniques, rhythm variations and the use of music in the capoeira game.
